If you are a mineral enthusiast, then this exhibition is a must-see. From December 6th to 8th, the "Sparkling Hot Spring, Annual Gala" – the inaugural Mineral Gem Hotel Show of the Mineral Crystal Capital (Chenzhou) was held at the Shimu Hot Spring Hotel. The event gathered fine mineral crystals and gemstones from Chenzhou and around the world, presenting a spectacular visual feast for loyal mineral crystal enthusiasts and collectors.

The beauty of mineral crystals lies in their natural formation, uniqueness, and scarcity. At the exhibition, over sixty exhibitors showcased their respective "treasures." Numerous mineral enthusiasts and collectors visited, some pausing quietly in front of display cases to admire the pieces, others discussing the quality, value, and collection prospects of the minerals and gems together.

"What struck me most about this mineral crystal show was its very novel format. Each exhibition space is a small room, offering vendors greater privacy and significantly improving the comfort level for us enthusiasts browsing the exhibits. At the show, I encountered many exquisite mineral specimens from all over the world, each one incredibly beautiful and of high quality," said Ms. Zeng, a mineral enthusiast.

This mineral crystal exhibition pioneered a new model within the industry by adopting a hotel show format in China, marking an important milestone for new exhibition models in the mineral crystal sector. "After three years of investigation, we found that the Shimu Hot Spring Hotel, characterized by its 'hot spring + resort' features, matched the relaxed and leisurely tone we wanted for a hotel show. So, we moved the mineral exhibition to the hotel. Combined with the China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Show held in Chenzhou earlier this year, these two models aim to attract more people to Chenzhou, to like Chenzhou, and to love mineral crystals," explained Zhang Jun, President of the Chenzhou Mineral Crystal Association.

It is understood that this exhibition, drawing inspiration from the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show in the USA, is the first of its kind nationally for mineral gems held in a hotel setting. The goal is to regularly establish a distinctive series of mineral gem industry exhibitions with Chenzhou characteristics and international style, featuring a "professional venue show in the first half of the year" and a "tourism hotel show in the second half of the year." Based on the concept of "large-scale exhibition," this approach aims to amplify the synergy between exhibitions and cultural tourism, effectively continuing the momentum generated by the tourism development conference.

"The innovative hotel show format of this mineral crystal exhibition was an eye-opener for exhibitors. It reduced the pressure of planning and setting up the exhibition and significantly lowered costs," Cao Yu, General Manager of Tianmu Geoscience Museum Space, one of the exhibitors, told the reporter.

"Although the hotel show is a new attempt, I hope it continues and gets better and better," said Mr. Xu, a mineral collector from Shanghai. He mentioned that the exhibition provides a platform for mineral crystal enthusiasts and industry experts to discuss, exchange ideas, and share insights, making the entire viewing experience very relaxed and enjoyable.

It is worth noting that during the exhibition, a series of characteristic activities were also held, including romantic hot spring experiences, exciting bonfire parties, and thrilling "treasure hunting" in a mine simulation, offering participants a rich experience of cultural and industry exchange.
