Love Mineral, Give Mineral a Home
This romance novel was once wildly popular online, and its catchphrase—simple yet profound—spread widely among young people, symbolizing a man’s commitment to love. Zhang Jun, a rising star in the mineral and gemstone world, has fulfilled this beautiful promise in his own unique way. However, the “her” in this story is no ordinary woman but mineral crystals from deep within the earth. The “home” is the Fuyang Mineral & Gem Museum he built for his treasures.
A Collector from the "Mine's Mouth"
Zhang Jun grew up drinking water from the Dong River, a native son of Chenzhou. Immersed in Chenzhou’s mineral crystal culture from childhood, he was primed for a future in mineral collection. In 2012, Zhang Jun’s life changed dramatically when he first encountered mineral crystals. Their dazzling radiance captivated him completely. This serendipitous meeting planted the seed of collecting mineral specimens in his heart, sparking an unstoppable passion.

Mineral crystals that ignited his passion
Driven by an indescribable love for minerals and gems, Zhang Jun traveled across the globe, venturing into mining regions worldwide to witness the untouched beauty of raw stones. To meet more world-class mineral specimens, he journeyed tens of thousands of kilometers—from mineral shows in Shanghai and Changsha to international exhibitions like Tucson (USA) and Munich (Germany).

Building a Home in Xi’an for His Treasures
In just three years, Zhang Jun amassed an enviable collection of thousands of exquisite mineral specimens from mines worldwide. To share their beauty with fellow Chinese and give his treasures a true home, he established the Fuyang Mineral & Gem Museum in the ancient city of Xi’an in early 2015.

The museum spans approximately 800 square meters, divided into two main sections:
- •Mineral Crystal Gallery: Features globally sourced specimens, including rare minerals from Chinese mines and gem-quality crystals abroad.
- •Jewelry Zone: Showcases heirloom-quality gemstones and custom jewelry—Colombian emeralds, luminous rubies, radiant spinels, sapphires like deep ocean water, and bespoke pieces.
These treasures shine in harmony with Xi’an’s profound cultural heritage and history, creating the museum’s unique identity.
